Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is not entirely satisfied with the selection of players at his disposal. The club from Bergamo has participated in three consecutive draws of the Champions League, and this season remained without European tournaments.
"This is not the Atalanta I expected. The club has been working hard but I feel the transfer market has only really started to move now. It is not possible to set goals for the team until the transfer window closes. We have held talks with some important players for us, but this is a difficult market for everyone," the coach told the club's press service.
In the summer, Atalanta signed midfielder Ederson from Salernitana, RB Leipzig winger Ademole Lookman, and Caleb Okoli also returned from a loan spell at Cremonese. However, the club lost the main center back Jose Luis Palomino, who failed a doping test.
