Vitaliy Vernidub: "Zabarny is a phenomenon and a top football player"

Defender of Kryvbas Kryvbas Vitaliy Vernidub said that he considers Ilya Zabarny from Dynamo Kyiv to be the best young Ukrainian defender at the moment.

- Who, in your opinion, is the strongest young defender in Ukraine now?

— I think that this is not a secret for anyone. I believe that Zabarny. He is a total phenomenon. A guy at his age shows such a mature and experienced game. Plus, he has very good data and anthropometry, and speed. This is a big plus. And the way he starts attacks... I think that already at the moment he is a top football player.

- Will Zabarny move to a foreign club this off-season?

- It's hard for me to say what trends they have in the team, but I think that such a player needs to go abroad and prove himself there.

Although such players are needed in Ukraine too, so that young players look at them and understand that everyone has a chance to prove themselves and perform at a high level.

- What championship suits Zabarny the most?

- Watching how he plays for the national team and Dynamo, then absolutely any championship. And if you choose, then for some reason it seems that England.

- What do you think, which of the listed defenders has the most chances to move to the European grand and which of them will be sold for the most money: Sirota, Matvienko, Popov or Bondar?

— I really like Matvienko's playing style. I think he has the best chance. Although Popov, too. It's a pity that he was often injured. I think that over time, the black streak will pass for him. I want him to survive this period. He has great prospects.
