PFL President Alexander Kadenko spoke about the broadcasts of the matches of the new season of the first and second leagues.
Alexander Kadenko- Last year, the PFL of Ukraine for the first time received an official broadcaster - TK "Football" 1/2/3, but it was not possible to bring cooperation to its logical conclusion...
- We are very disappointed that this happened, because TC "Football" believed in the prospects of the PFL competitions and offered the clubs good conditions for starting their own business with media rights. This became possible due to the transfer of commercial rights from Liga-Football from UAF-Marketing, we have a single pool. The centralization of media rights immediately helped to implement them.
- How was the cooperation with TC "Football"?
— We were satisfied. Each match of the tour in the First League was broadcast live, two of them - on the TV channels themselves, and six more - on YouTube in the public domain. An exclusive product was being prepared - pre-match and post-match studios, goal reviews, special stories. The attention of the first league showed that there are interesting competitions here.
I will say that the First League YouTube channel has collected about 70 thousand subscribers and almost 12 million views. I confess that these figures amazed and inspired us. They confirmed the interest that existed before the competition, because over the past two years we have updated the attendance record plates in the First and Second Leagues.
— What will happen to broadcasts now?
— We will continue what we have planned, having received the support of the clubs at the PFL Conference. We plan to broadcast matches of the First and Second Leagues on the YouTube channel of the Professional Football League. Technical requirements for showing matches are being developed, which will allow developing general requirements for all broadcasts, no matter what city they are from. We are looking for sponsors and partners because we have big plans for showing our matches.
- That is, football can be watched despite the information in the media?
- Oh sure. Let me remind you that the PFL has long introduced requirements for mandatory live broadcasting of matches of its competitions. In the first league of last season, all matches were broadcast, even those that had technical problems, the video was promptly uploaded to YouTube. In the second league, there were also a few broadcast disruptions, and we also demanded that the clubs soon upload the recording for the press, specialists and fans to familiarize themselves with.
