Former head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko congratulated Ukrainians on Independence Day on his Twitter page.
“Today, in the thirty-first year of Ukraine's independence, we are fighting for the right to be free and live under a peaceful sky.
I want to thank everyone who defends our freedom, we always remember our heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine.
Happy Independence Day," Shevchenko wrote.
