Yuri Vernidub- I would not like to comment on anything in particular. Congratulations to "Kolos" on the victory. Unfortunately, we lost. I will say one thing: for three years I did not work in the Ukrainian championship - nothing changes. Everything is as it was, and remains so. Those people who follow football understand what I'm talking about.
— How satisfied are you with the first official match of the team?
- The guys tried. And in the first half they played as we agreed. Although the game was not fast, we had the initiative. We conceded a goal from a set piece, then started moving in the second. Probably remembered that you need to play. Some moments began to appear, but, unfortunately, they could not realize them. Although Kolos also had two dangerous standards.
That's all football. And so constant whistles: as soon as we start the attack, then we threw the ball in the wrong place, then we put it in the wrong place. I think this is not how good championships are judged, but judged a little differently. Gives the opportunity to develop the pace of the game. This is the interest of football, to be fast. Where necessary, the referee does not whistle, where it is not necessary, he whistles. It's the other way around.
There was no Ukrainian championship for almost nine months. It's hard for everyone to start. We must pay tribute to our glorious Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are now protecting our land from invaders and giving us the right to hold these matches. I take my hat off to them, because I know how it is and what it is.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to our defenders! Glory to our living heroes. Glory to the heroes who are no longer with us. But they will always be in our hearts.
