The match started with Dynamo attacks. Already in the 4th minute of the meeting, Buyalsky, after a pass from the right flank, hit with a header, but the blow turned out to be not strong - Valef took the ball in his hands. The Kievans continued to control the course of the meeting even further, but it didn’t come to really dangerous moments - the Dnipro-1 players defended in a fairly organized manner and did not give much space near their own penalty area.
In the 13th minute, Mircea Lucescu had to make a forced substitution: instead of the injured Popov, Sirota came on the field. It was the Dynamo defender who managed to create the first dangerous moment at the gates of the nominal guests - after a corner kick, Oleksandr headed the ball - the ball hit the crossbar and went out of bounds.
Dynamo continued to hold the initiative, passing more often in the middle of the field. The more unexpected was the missed goal from Dnipro-1 towards the end of the first half. After a corner kick, Sarapiy responded to the pass and shot from the goalkeeper's line - 0:1. On this, all the main events in the first half of the match ended.
After the break, Lucescu's wards noticeably increased in speed, forcing the Dnipro team to retreat with large forces, it seemed that the Kiev team would soon equalize the score. But Dynamo again unexpectedly conceded a goal: after a pass from the left flank to the center of the penalty area, Pikhalyonok shot right into the bottom corner of the goal - 0:2. This course of events was a real shock for the capital club. The head coach of the "white-blues" decided to refresh the team's game in attack by releasing Vanat instead of Besedin. But Vladislav also failed to distinguish himself - the Dnipros acted very competently in defense.
In the remaining minute, the Dynamo players carried out several more attacks, but could not even close the gap in the score. Moreover, Dnipro-1 managed to score the third goal against the White-Blues in stoppage time. Rubchinsky successfully played on the rebound, shooting from the goalkeeper's line - 0:3. As a result, Dnepr-1 got a sensational victory!
Recall that in the next, 3rd round, Dynamo is waiting for an away match with Zorya Lugansk. This meeting will take place next Saturday, September 3. The venue of the match is still kept in the strictest confidence - both the hosts of the match and the Ukrainian Premier League are sternly silent about this.
