Ukrainian midfielder Dmitry Khomchenovsky told how he ended up in Kryvbas.

- I didn’t even consider offers from abroad, because there is no way to leave the country. There were options for continuing a career in other UPL clubs, but when I found out that Yuriy Nikolayevich Vernydub would work in Kryvbas, everything was decided by itself. When he called me, our conversation lasted less than a minute. I just asked when the fees start.
Were there many proposals from the UPL? Enough. Not all teams, of course, but three or four clubs for sure. There was a conversation with Vorskla, but the Vernydub factor eclipsed all other proposals, Dmitry said.
