Well-known Ukrainian journalist Artem Frankov reacted to the verbal attack by former coach Myron Markevich against Dynamo Kyiv coach Mircea Lucescu, built on the venerable age of the Romanian specialist.
“Miron Bogdanovich Markevich suggested, in his application to Mircea Mikhailovich Lucescu, that at 77 there is nothing to be dishonored, otherwise he will “cook” on the coaching bench” ...
Here are a few good-natured remarks and wishes:
1) mathematics + physiology: sorry, but from the cellar of my 52nd, the fundamental difference between 71 (Markevich) and 77 (Lucescu) is invisible;
2) rock + fate: in my unenlightened opinion, many coaches dream of “bouncing” not in their bed, but at a combat post - this is right, beautiful and noble;
3) import substitution: no Lucescu, no Surkis, not even me are to blame for Pavelko swindling Markevich and giving the promised Ukrainian national team to Petrakov; sorry, but this is exactly how things were in August 2021 after the departure of Shevchenko, who was waiting for Markevich; the role of Rebrov in these scenarios remains incomprehensible to me - perhaps Miron Bogdanovich was thrown earlier; in any case - a claim to the wrong address;
4) whiskey (12-year-old, single malt): two veterans of the coaching workshop would sit down in a good way and clarify relations in a confidential conversation with the participation of Arkady Zaporozhan (if there are translation problems, which I doubt); in my opinion, it is much easier for them to agree face to face than through the press; I am sure that my friends will support me and easily provide a negotiation platform in Kyiv - at the same time we will play chess, which VVL loved so much, bright memory to him;
5) I am extremely sorry that such a coach as Markevich is not in demand in modern Ukrainian football; Miron Bogdanovich, my best wishes to you!" Frankov wrote in his telegram channel.
