FIFA sold 3 Russian channels the rights to broadcast the 2022 World Cup

FIFA has sold the rights to broadcast the 2022 World Cup in Russia, RBC-Sport reports, citing its sources.

Three Russian TV channels will pay $13 million each for the opportunity to broadcast the World Cup. These are VGTRK, Perviy and Match TV. They did not comment on this information to the source.

Telesport will receive another $1 million as an intermediary.

Recall that the Russian Federation was excluded from the playoffs of the 2022 World Cup qualification due to a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
