Honorary President of Dnipro-1 Yuriy Bereza spoke about the UPL TV pool. Recall that Dnipro were among the clubs that did not accept the offer to enter the pool based on the Stanta Sports broadcaster.

“For a long time I wanted to explain my position on why we did not join a single telepool. Unfortunately, things in the East were such that there was not even a minute to prepare and turn to you.

Position number one. We did not join a single TV pool, because neither I nor the team of lawyers of our club understood how all matches with the participation of Dnipro-1 on the territory of Ukraine would be broadcast for free. So that any fan who supports our team has access to this for free. And not through a system of any bonuses, card payments, etc. I did not see a clear understanding of how this would happen.

At the same time, I heard some claims about the need to transfer the rights to broadcast to someone, for some reason, otherwise the club will not pass certification. All over the world, television rights to all football matches of clubs belong primarily to the clubs. This is a global practice, and I think that we will not deviate from it.

Next, I want to remind you that today we have a full-scale and quite serious war going on. And not just a war, but a war of life and death. Today, there are more than a million people in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And I would not want my brothers, who are in uniform, to pay and look for how they can watch their favorite football match from the card, pay and overpay.

Our club has experience. Since its inception, all of our matches have been shown on 2+2 and their associated networks. I am completely satisfied with the quality of showing matches today. Therefore, the position of Dnipro-1 in the future, despite any pressure, will be as follows: fans of Ukraine have the right to watch football with the participation of our club for free. And it is not discussed.

This is the first moment. The second point: we, as a sports club, will not fall under any pressure. This position will remain unchanged until the end of the war. Dot! And therefore, dear Ukrainian fans, cheer for Dnipro-1. Everything will be Dnepr-1. Glory to Ukraine!” Bereza said in his video message posted on the social network Instagram.
