Dynamo General Director Rezo Chokhonelidze expressed his opinion regarding the near future of Croatian assistant Mircea Lucescu - Ognjen Vukoevich, who is predicted to return to his homeland.
— Rezo Shotaevich, Croatian sources write that Mircea Lucescu's assistant Ognen Vukoevich will soon become the head coach of Osijek. Is it true?
- Not. He continues to fulfill his duties in the Dynamo coaching staff. Now, together with the team, he is preparing for a trip to Istanbul for the Europa League match with Fenerbahce.
- That is, Vukoevich will continue to work in your club?
- Of course. He will fly from Dynamo to Istanbul, and then to Krakow. What will happen next, I don't know. You don't have to believe everything that is written on the Internet. Tomorrow they will write that I or Kostyuk will head Dynamo Moscow. And this, or what, to believe?
- Are there any other changes planned in the Dynamo coaching staff?
- This is not for me to decide, but for Mircea Lucescu and Igor Surkis.
— The transfer window in Ukraine is open until September 22. Is your club planning any transfers to the exit in the near future?
— Whom to sell? We, on the contrary, need players. Ukraine is different from other European states. We are going through a difficult time. Ukrainians are dying in the war.
— Maybe we should wait for signing new players?
— Our newcomers are our pupils. Few foreigners want to go to a country that is at war.
