Andriy Pyatov to Tymoshchuk: "You can be a legend, but above all you must remain human"

The goalkeeper of Shakhtar Donetsk and the Ukrainian national team Andriy Pyatov spoke about former teammate Anatoly Tymoshchuk, who continues to work for the occupiers despite the war.

We know each other well, but now I have a very negative attitude towards him. He probably believes in Russian propaganda. He turned his back on his country while his parents hid here from missiles. He made a choice, he must carry this cross, but the way back to Ukraine is closed to him. In such a situation, it is necessary to clarify. If you turn away from friends and family because you are comfortable in your position, is this behavior fair? You can be a legend, but first of all, you must remain a man,” Pyatov told Sportowe Fakty.
