On Tuesday, September 6, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with 317 votes "in favor" adopted in its entirety the draft Law on Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Physical Culture and Sports" regarding the distinction between sports events and competitions. Which is now being prepared for signature by the President.
So, the long-running conflict over the TV pool has been finally concluded - the rights to telecast home matches held in the framework of national competitions belong to the clubs!
Judging by the voting results, members of the Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF), who are also part-time members of the Verkhovna Rada, hold this opinion. Namely Oleksandr Gerega, Vadym Ivchenko and Ivan Krulko - all of them also voted in favor of the proposal of the presidents of the Dynamo, Dnipro-1, Zorya, Metalist and Rukh clubs, which later formalized it into a bill No. 7719 group of parliamentarians headed by the head of the Committee on Youth and Sports Andrii Kozhemiakin.
In general, the overwhelming majority of deputies from each of the parliamentary factions, including 21 out of 27 members of "EU" (including Deputy Poroshenko), the former party (then known as BPP) voted "for" confirming the rights of clubs as organizers of sports events. the relations of the president of UAF Pavelko.
At the same time, none of the people's representatives who voted for changes to the proposed Law spoke "against" or even abstained!

From now on, the Law "On Physical Culture and Sports" stipulates the following: "Organizers of sports events, which are held within the limits of sports competitions, may, on a voluntary basis, transfer to the organizers of competitions the rights specified in Part Eight of this article by concluding a contract on the terms agreed between the organizer of sports events event organizer and competition organizer. Any restrictions on the right of organizers of sports events to freely dispose of the rights specified in part eight of this article (including through competition regulations or other documents accepted or approved by competition organizers) are not allowed."
