Carragher: "Not sure Chelsea is right for Potter"

Former Liverpool and England defender Jamie Carragher has commented on Graham Potter's appointment as Chelsea head coach.

Graham Potter

- "Chelsea" is a very ruthless club and I'm not sure Potter is the right fit for them. The club wants to do something differently when it comes to the relationship with the coaches, but in Potter's place I would find it very hard to believe. They just fired the coach six games into the season. There are fears that Potter will be in the same boat as other Chelsea managers.

If the Chelsea bosses do not get immediate results, they will find themselves another manager. Maybe things will change with Potter. But if I were Potter, I'd be very careful after what Chelsea did with Tuchel.

It was clear that Graham would leave Brighton sooner or later. He has done a brilliant job there, everyone loves the football his team plays. I understand that he cannot refuse such an opportunity. But I would not believe that Chelsea are going to do otherwise in the near future.

If I was a Chelsea fan and you asked me who I would like to see as the manager of the team, I would choose Mauricio Pochettino," said Jamie Carragher.
