The mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karic, threatened the Bosnian football association with the consequences of the latter's decision to play a friendly match with the Russian national team.

I consider it the moral duty of officials, staff and players to abandon this match.
If the decision does not change, our national team will play with a football team that is sanctioned by UEFA and FIFA, and which is banned from participating in all competitions under their jurisdiction. In this case, the city will stop cooperation with the association, which until now has been of high quality," Karich wrote on Instagram.
