Estonian "Levadia" has announced the appointment of a new head coach of its first team. He became a Ukrainian specialist, a well-known midfielder Maxim Kalinichenko in the past.
It is reported that a contract was signed with the 43-year-old mentor for a period of two years with the possibility of extending the agreement for another same period.
Note that this is Kalinichenko's first independent coaching experience. Previously, this specialist worked only as an assistant to the head coach - in the Ukrainian Metalist and Podolia, the Russian Rodina and the Latvian Riga.
We add that Kalinichenko has not yet begun to form his own coaching staff in Levadia - the assistants of the previous head coach of this team Nikita Andreev and Artem Artyunin will help the Ukrainian at the first stage.
As for Levadia itself, after the 28th round of the Estonian Championship, this team occupies the second place in the championship standings, lagging behind the leading Flora by 10 points. Kalinichenko's coaching debut will take place next Sunday, July 18, when, as part of the 29th round of the Estonian Championship, Levadiya will host Kuressare (5th place in the standings).
