Viktor Skrypnyk: “After three defeats in a row, we are already glad that we played to zero”

The head coach of Vorskla Poltava Viktor Skrypnyk commented on the result of his team's yesterday's match with Oleksandriya (0:0) in the 4th round of the Ukrainian Championship. In this meeting, the "green-whites" scored their first point in the tournament - before that, the Poltava team lost all matches.

“A very difficult game. We lost in the first three matches, it put pressure on us psychologically. Therefore, we are already glad that today we played "to zero".

We had chances at the opponent's goal, but this is football. At the end of the match, everything could change in the other direction - they could make a mistake, which under such circumstances would become decisive. We are glad that we did not miss, did not lose.

We certainly have more work to do. However, today I can thank the guys for their character. We played with a solid team, which is faster than those with whom we have already met before. We didn’t miss it - and this is already a good sign for us. We will continue to work and hope that in addition to the game "to zero" we will also score," Skrypnyk said after the match with Oleksandriya.
