The head coach of the Wales national team, Robert Page, has signed a new four-year contract, reports 90min.
Under the new contract, the coach will lead the team during this winter's World Cup in Qatar, as well as the qualifying campaigns for Euro 2024 and the 2026 World Cup. Page initially took over the team on an interim basis in November 2020, replacing Ryan Giggs. Subsequently, the leadership of the country's federation signed a new agreement with the specialist until the end of the 2022 World Cup.
The 48-year-old coach successfully led Wales to their first appearance at the World Cup in 64 years, defeating Ukraine in the play-off round (1:0). In the group at the World Cup, Page's wards will meet with the teams of England, the USA and Iran.
