Mbappe topped the ranking of the highest paid footballers in the world

French PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has become the highest paid footballer of 2022 according to the annual rating published by Sportico.

The 23-year-old Frenchman overtook last year's salary leader Lionel Messi thanks to a new contract with PSG, which was signed last May.

According to the latest ranking, Mbappe's earnings in the 2022/23 season are $125 million, followed by Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo with an annual income of $113 million.
