Journalist Ihor Semyon commented on the performance of Ukrainian clubs in the European Cups in the Telegram channel "Ratings, seeds, coefficients".
Dnipro-1 won, Shakhtar drew, Dynamo lost. All this was reflected in the picture of the ranking of clubs.
For Dnipro-1, these are the first ever European Cup points. This is not yet progress (229th place), but simply a step in the direction of progress. The team for reaching the group round of the Conference League received 2,500 points from UEFA, which is "overlapped" by a win and a draw. There is a win - at least one point is still needed (a draw). But for general, and not just seasonal, progress, "Dnipro-1" needs to get a personal rating higher than the rating of the Association - 5.340. It needs two more wins. Maybe a duel with Vaduz will come in handy.
"Shakhtar" stayed in the top 25 thanks to a draw with "Celtic". But the struggle is very intense. "Bayer" has already caught up with the "miners", being inferior to them only by the indicator of the season rating (but not the overall). Also, "Salzburg" is not far behind, which practically leaves "miners" no room for error. But upstairs it's always like that - tight and tense.
"Dynamo" is holding on to the 45th place, but continues to let competitors close to them. Milan moved to within one win, with AZ two and a half points behind. Taking into account the fact that three clubs are inactive in the chasing group, "Dynamo" keeps its chances of staying in the top 50. But this will be perceived as a failure of competitors rather than an achievement of the people of Kyiv.
"The fight in the European Cups will resume in three weeks - after the national team window," Semyon wrote.
