Well-known journalist Mykola Nesenyuk spoke on the grounds that Ukraine, unlike all other European countries, did not hold its national championship matches last weekend.

And it's not because of the war - in the previous four rounds, probable missile attacks did not prevent anyone from playing. Our championship was suspended a week earlier than the rest of Europe, as always - "in the interests of the teams". I'm sorry, but I can't write this phrase in Ukrainian. Because such "benefits" for the main team are a sleeping scoop, moreover, it's also funny because half of the players of the Ukrainian national team play abroad and the benefits provided in our championship do not apply to them. In short, complete nonsense that repeats itself year after year and does not produce any results.
Wrote about it for many years in a row. The last time was this spring, when a long training camp without ten main players playing abroad did not help the Ukrainians beat Wales and reach the world finals in Qatar. I thought about not writing this time - why do it for the hundredth time? Although I still did not leave the thought that the managers of our football and the coaches of the national team are far from stupid people. So when they do outright bullshit, somebody needs it. Until an accountant I knew explained everything to me.
It turns out that behind the irresistible desire to gather players of the national team of Ukraine, who play in our championship earlier than everyone else and to lose time for a full-fledged tour of the championship, there are... per diems. The accountant explained to me that a foreign business trip, which is for everyone who in one way or another serves the national team of Ukraine, is the easiest way to "master" the money of a public organization, which is the Ukrainian Football Association.
And the longer this business trip is, the more money can be written off for it. This is not Shakhtar, Dynamo, Dnipro or any other Ukrainian team that travels abroad on the money of its owners, who are not obliged to report to anyone, except for the tax authorities. UAF is not a private organization, but a public one. It receives a lot of money from FIFA and UEFA for the development of football, which should be used exclusively for the said development. And the national team is exactly this development - the more money spent on it, the better!
I will not explain further - every accountant will explain the details to you when you are very interested. I felt better now - the mystery that tormented me for many years was finally solved. And the fact that the last round of the autumn part of the championship will have to be played not on November 19, but on November 26, when the probability of frost and snow is much higher, is a trifle compared to the extra days. We can still play in December. All the same, we will have to play without spectators and not only in the stands," Nesenyuk wrote on his Facebook page.
