Mykola Nesenyuk: "It was from the commercial director of Shakhtar that the frank delusion about the match with Dynamo in London

The well-known journalist Mykola Nesenyuk spoke about the loud story that the match of the 7th round of the championship of Ukraine "Shakhtar" - "Dynamo" could take place in London.

Dynamo will host Shakhtar in Los Angeles

There's a term called a clickable headline. That is the title of this post, which, like most similar ones, has nothing to do with reality. But I didn't come up with that. This is the young and handsome Dmytro Kyrylenko, the commercial director of the Shakhtar football club. It was from him that the information came that the match of the current championship of Ukraine between Shakhtar and Dynamo will take place in London.

This outright delusion was promptly picked up by almost all sports resources of Ukraine. I decided not to react. I wanted to see how the author of the false information in advance would get away with it. And waited. This Tuesday, the aforementioned Kirylenko announced on the official website of his club that the match he had promised in London would not take place.

This message from Shakhtar's commercial director is excellent in every way. It begins with Mr. Kyrylenka's complete ignorance of the regulations of the championship of Ukraine. The match of the 7th round of the championship of Ukraine between Shakhtar and Dynamo cannot take place on October 15. This became known back in August, when Kyiv got into the Europa League, whose matches are played on Thursdays. On Thursday, October 13, Dynamo will play Rennes. Therefore, he will be able to play Shakhtar no earlier than October 16 - according to the regulations, at least 48 hours must pass between official matches.

It can be seen that Dime Kyrylenka has no time to read the regulations. Because all his thoughts are in London, where he worked on the organization of the match with Dynamo. I do not know whether he took his leadership on a business trip to the British capital or "worked" remotely, but here too, everything is not as it should be.

As a young manager, Kirylenko should have a good command of English and read the FIFA and UEFA statutes in the original. Or they should be translated to him. There are two such interesting books. In one of them, the one about UEFA, there is article 51, where in paragraph 2 it is written that "A member association or its affiliated leagues and clubs shall not have the right to play or organize matches outside its territory without the permission of the respective member associations". The same is written in the second booklet, the one from FIFA. In Article 72, paragraph 2: "Member associations and their clubs are not entitled to play on the territory of another member association without the permission of that member association."

This means that in order to arrange a match in London, the young manager of Shakhtar would have to take care of an official letter from the Ukrainian Football Association to the English Football Association, asking for permission to hold such a match due to the impossibility of holding it in Ukraine. As far as is known, such a letter from the UAF does not exist, or it is highly classified.

As well as a letter to the leaders of Polish football with a request to hold a match between Shakhtar and Dynamo in Warsaw. Otherwise, Mr. Kirylenko would definitely refer to them.

From the outside, it looks like when he applied (if he did apply) to West Ham Stadium, he was asked to provide relevant documents from the national federations of England and Ukraine. That was the end of it. Or maybe that Kyrilenko didn't call anywhere, or the cleaning lady picked up the phone...

But it's time to feel sorry for that manager. Another thing I'm curious about is that none of our football people have read the FIFA and UEFA statutes? I understand that the owner of "Shakhtar" is not obliged to read those articles. He has qualified managers for this. The same dear Serhiy Palkin, who should know not only about the legal intricacies of calculating alimony...

And while they read these documents, I will explain everything in simple words. Each national football association is authorized only on the territory of the state it represents and where the national championship, cup and other competitions are to be held. To play these tournaments abroad, you should go beyond your powers. And this is not welcome, on the contrary. Have you ever wondered why not a single match of the Russian championship has been held on the territory of the occupied Crimea for more than eight years? Why does the "legendary Sevastopol" team not play in the Russian championship? Because the Russians, even though they are aggressors, read and implement FIFA and UEFA documents. And we can easily fool all football journalists together and not only journalists.

And I was joking about Los Angeles. So there is no need to spread this headline around the world. Of course. when you read more than one line….
