In Europe, they are preparing an all-star match/tournament of the four top leagues

One of the most influential English newspapers, The Times, writes that holding an all-star match for European football is being seriously discussed.

The idea, floated by new Chelsea owner Todd Boley a few weeks ago, was only about a meeting of Premier League stars divided into North and South. But according to The Times, the clubs liked this idea and some of them are ready to develop the idea by adding the championships of Germany, Italy and Spain to the list.

It is not yet clear at what stage the discussion is, and most likely the idea is to hold such a match in the summer before the start of the season or during the winter break. According to the Times, this is just one idea, but it is being discussed. Perhaps it will be a tournament of four teams, assembled from the stars of each championship.

“This idea deserves attention,” said Lorenzo Casini, president of the Italian Football League. — We will study the project with the clubs at the next meeting and see what we can do. I remember with excitement the match between Europe and the world in August 1982 with Zoff, Tardelli, Rossi, Platini, Zico. It was a spectacle.
