Erik ten Hag: "I didn't release Ronaldo out of respect for his outstanding career"

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag explained on Sky Sports why he did not release forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the match against Manchester City (3:6).

“I didn’t release Ronaldo out of respect for him, because of his outstanding career. Another reason was the opportunity to release Anthony Martial, who needs playing time. But I don’t want to focus on this,” ten Hag said.
