As it was already reported, Vasily Khomutovsky, the coach of Lvov goalkeepers, was arrested in Belarus the other day, and he returned to his homeland for a knee operation.
The reason for the detention of the former goalkeeper was his participation in peaceful protest rallies in Belarus in 2020.
According to the Belarusian media, Khomutovsky has already been sentenced for the first time (it is possible that he will remain the only one): the Lvov coach received 13 days in prison for sending materials from a telegram channel recognized as extremist in Belarus.
Earlier it was reported that Khomutovsky on the main charges against him could face from 3 to 7 years in prison, a fine, arrest or restriction of freedom for the same period.
