It cannot be said that Rennes took such a total advantage from the beginning of the game, but at the same time, the home team methodically “rocked” the Dynamo defense, creating quite sharp chances. And in the 23rd minute of the meeting, this brought its result: Terje, in the left side of the Kiev penalty area, received a pass from Guiri and hit the far “nine” of Boyko's goal with a powerful blow - 1:0.

However, already 10 minutes later the Dynamo team bounced back: Besedin received a pass in the Rennes penalty area from Dubinchak, played Buyalsky with his heel, he extended the combination for Tsygankov, who struck a rally from 8 meters - Mandanda reacted, but hit the ball right in front of himself, and Tsygankov hit the gates of the French team on the second attempt - 1:1.

The missed goal, as it seemed, somewhat discouraged the home team. They continued to attack, but it looked intertwined. Dynamo looked much more confident in those minutes than in the first half of the half, but this did not lead to sharpness at the Rennes goal. As a result, the first half ended with the score 1:1.

Almost the entire second half passed under the sign of the complete advantage of Rennes. The French team rarely brought things to the point of actual sharpness at the Dynamo goal, but the home team still had scoring opportunities. So, it was Tet and Guiri who shot dangerously from outside the penalty area. In the first case, Boyko played reliably, in the second case the ball flew near the post. But in the 69th minute, Rennes was really close to a goal - it was Bourijeau who shot from the penalty area, and Boyko, with great difficulty, reached for the ball flying into the lower corner of his goal.

Rennes failed to achieve more, and for the last ten minutes of the match, the French team simply did not have enough. In this segment of the meeting, Dynamo significantly improved ball control and, in the wake of such positive changes in the game, tried to snatch victory. However, this did not lead to sharpness at the Rennes goal.

But the home team managed to score the second goal. More precisely, the Dynamo team "brought" it to themselves. In the 89th minute of the meeting, Popov, in the simplest situation, played directly on Desire Due, who easily broke into the penalty area, going one on one with Boyko, and calmly sent the ball into the net - 2:1.

Let us add that in another match of the 2nd round in Group B of the Europa League, the Turkish Fenerbahce beat the Cypriot AEK at home - 2:0. As a result, the standings of the teams in this group took on the following form: Fenerbahce - 7 points, Rennes - 7, AEK - 3, Dynamo - 0.

In the next round in group "B" will play: "Dynamo" - "Rennes", "Fenerbahce" - AEK. Both meetings will take place next Thursday, October 13.
