Both teams started the youth championship with five wins and one draw, scored 13 points and shared the top three places in the standings with Shakhtar before the head-to-head meeting.

The Lviv team managed to open the scoring in the debut of the match: Oleg Fedor, who is Rukh's top scorer in the championship, took advantage of Malysh's fall in the center of the field, picked up the ball, outplayed his partner and shot past Ignatenko from outside the penalty area into the far corner.

The next third of the half was spent in the struggle - the Dynamo tried to get out of the pressure of the rivals and organize their own positional attacks. However, both teams did not get to sharp moments.

And in the 20th minute, the referee Vladislav Gritsai awarded a penalty in favor of Rukh, regarding the fall of Kvasnitsa in the Dynamo penalty area after contact with Artem Slesar as a foul. Although Denys Ignatenko guessed the direction of the shot, Lviv captain Denys Pidgursky shot right under the post and hit the goal.

Before the break, the Dynamo team managed to return one ball - in the stoppage time for the first half, the locksmith's pass from the right flank found Anton Tsarenko in the penalty area, who beat the defender and accurately shot into the far corner with his left foot - 1:2.

At the start of the second half, a sharp moment arose again at the gates of Kiev, but Ignatenko went for an interception after a cross from an acute angle and leveled the danger. Dynamo responded with two attempts from Yatsyk - the captain's first shot after a corner kick was blocked, and the Rukh goalkeeper Gereta managed a free-kick.

On the 61st, the referee awarded another penalty to the Dynamo goal - this time he saw a violation against Kvasnitsa in the actions of Aleksey Gusev, who came on as a substitute at half-time. Ignatenko reached for the ball after a shot by the same Pidgursky, however, from the hands of Denis, the game projectile still ended up in the goal net, setting the score 3:1 in favor of Rukh.

In the final segment of the match, Dynamo, reinforced by substitutions for an attack, tried to break through the defense of Lviv, however, the hosts clearly blocked the approaches to their goal, while creating several chances for Ignatenko's possessions. So, the ball ended up in the Dynamo goal again after a shot from a few meters from Nikolaev, but the Rukh player was offside.

In turn, Dynamo's attempts made it possible to reduce the backlog in the score - the "white-blue" earned a penalty kick 30 meters from the goal, which Andriy Matkevich effectively took, sending the ball exactly to the nearest "nine".

Next week, the Dynamo youth team will face an away match against another competitor in the championship — Shakhtar Donetsk.
