Shakhtar commented on the massive rocket attacks on Ukraine by Russian troops on their Twitter page.
“From the very morning of October 10, all of Ukraine has been under terrorist rocket fire on Russia.
It is very difficult to think about the Champions League match against Real Madrid when our country is in danger. Hold on, Ukraine," the message says.
The match between Shakhtar and Real Madrid will take place on 11 October.
