Disappointing news from Dynamo Kyiv camp. The goalkeeper of the "White-Blues" Denys Boyko, who in the Sunday match with "Rukh" (3:0) in the 6th round of the Ukrainian Championship, landed unsuccessfully on his foot and could not continue the game, was seriously injured.
As it turned out after a medical examination conducted by the goalkeeper, Boyko injured the cruciate ligament of the knee, and now he is waiting for an operation and a long period of rehabilitation, the Dynamo Kyiv Inside Telegram channel reported.
“Unfortunately. Dynamo is left exclusively with young goalkeepers. Denis Boyko flew out after Buschan. Cruciate ligaments. Until next spring. Operation in Spain,” the source wrote.
The recovery period after this kind of injury is at least six months. This means that Boyko will be able to start full-fledged training and the return of lost physical and game conditions no earlier than April. Thus, Boyko dropped out, in fact, until the end of the season.
Recall that earlier Dynamo was left without one of its main goalkeepers - Georgy Bushchan, who injured his meniscus in the first half of September and was operated on. His return to service is expected no earlier than November.
Thus, in the near future, the Dynamo coaching staff will be able to count only on young goalkeepers - Ruslan Neshcheret (20 years old), Denis Ignatenko (21 years old) and Valentin Morgun (21 years old)
