The Bosnian website Sop.ba reported today that the friendly match between Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina scheduled for November 19 in St. Petersburg has been cancelled.
Considering that the federations of the countries have not yet signed a contract for holding a friendly match, Sarajevo decided to abandon this event, which caused violent protests in the country and the world. Recall that the captain of the BiH national team Edin Dzeko, Miralem Pyanich and many others, from the very beginning of this story, took a tough stance against a trip to Russia in November.
“Whether the friendly match between Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be played at another time, after the end of the war in Ukraine and the lifting of sanctions against the Russians, is still unknown,” the source remarks philosophically.
