Ukrainian referee released from Russian captivity received an award from the hands of the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukrain

Ukrainian referee Dmitry Kubryak, who was captured by Russian-haired invaders in Mariupol in April and released from captivity in September, received an award from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the department Vadim Gutzeit.

“The football referee, neurosurgeon, released from Russian captivity, Dmitry Kubryak, is back on the football field.

He is a pupil of the football department of the Youth Sports School-2 in Kropyvnytskyi. He was the referee of the first league of the Ukrainian football championship from the Odessa region. Received a medical education in Odessa. He worked as a neurosurgeon in the Dnipro military hospital. Then he saved lives in Mariupol, helped wounded soldiers at Azovstal. He was taken prisoner with them in April of this year.

Despite everything that he had to endure during the most terrible five months of his life, he does not lose his fighting spirit. I had the honor to thank Dmitry and award the "Sign of Respect" from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
