"Schalke" announced on its official website about the dismissal of head coach Frank Kramer.
The club from Gelsenkirchen made this decision after the team's crushing defeat in the round of 16 of the German Cup against Hoffenheim (1:5). Kramer's assistants will manage the team in the next league match against Hertha.
After 10 rounds of the Bundesliga, Schalke is in the penultimate place in the standings with six points.
