Source: Setanta will continue to broadcast UPL, but under new conditions

Setanta Sports will continue to broadcast UPL matches, despite the adoption of the law of Ukraine "On physical culture and sports", which put an end to the creation of a single TV pool. This is reported by TaToTake.

However, the terms of cooperation of Setanta Sports with UPL will change. About $3.2 million a year, including production costs, is out of the question due to the fact that only 11 UPL clubs out of 16 are included in the Setanta Sports pool.

Setanta Sports will now only pay for production. If, at the end of the season, the company's combined revenues from the broadcast of UPL matches and the distribution of rights to the foreign market exceed the costs, the profit will be shared among the 11 clubs that are part of the pool. According to the contract drawn up before the start of the season, each club was to receive $94,000 per season.
