On Saturday, October 22, the Dynamo academy team of the U-16 age category (football players born in 2007) held another test match in Cologne. This time Dynamo played against "Bayer" (Leverkusen).

The opponent fielded one year older boys against Kyiv - the second team of the U-17 age category. The composition of our team was "diluted" by several football players born in 2008 (coach Yevhen Lozynskyi), so in certain cases the age difference between the opponents was two years. The match took place on the natural field of the hosts' base and lasted two halves of 40 minutes each.
The match ended with a score of 4:0 in favor of "Bayer", the hosts scored one goal in the middle of the first half and three more in the second half.
Both teams started the game strongly, but the main events took place in the middle of the field. There was a lot of fighting for the ball, teams alternately losing it and getting it back. None of the teams managed to get close to the goal. On one occasion, when Dynamo was able to do it, Andreyko made a good header after a cross from the left, closing the far post, but the ball flew just above the crossbar. At the opposite goal, our defenders acted reliably and harmoniously, intercepting and knocking the ball away, so there was no particular danger at the Roenka goal.
Towards the middle of the half, Kyiv gradually moved the game to the other side of the field. It should be noted that a dangerous free kick 24 meters from the goal by Ozimai is just above the upper left corner of the goal. But suddenly the home team succeeded in a good, rapid counterattack, as a result of which the opponents took advantage of a mistake by our players in defense and scored a 0:1 lead with an accurate shot past the goalkeeper. Soon, another dangerous moment arose near our possession - a player of "Bayer" directed the ball into an empty goal, but our team was saved by a ricochet from the defender, thanks to which the ball flew into the corner.
The second half began with several inaccurate shots from Dynamo on the opponent's goal. Our boys were hindered from organizing high-quality attacks due to a large number of poor passes. When they were able to fix this point, good combos and attacks started coming out. But the opponent did not sleep either. In one of the episodes, Roenko responded to a shot at the bottom right corner of the goal, and in another, similar, the ball was taken over by the post.
The visitors responded no less dangerously: after serving from the corner mark, the Germans were able to fight back, but the Kyiv attack continued at a second pace, Gubenko was in the attacking position, but his shot was a little inaccurate. Subsequently, the same Gubenko did not have time to close the pass of Lyusin at the far post, who broke through on the right flank, moved to the center, could have struck himself, but made a passing pass. As often happens in football, after such activity, Dynamo conceded by themselves, and three times in ten minutes. Errors in the defense of our football players led to missed goals.
The guests had an opportunity to score a prestige ball, when three of our football players were in a striking position during one attack. Lusin's shot was blocked by the defenders, and Andreyko shot weakly, and the goalkeeper took the ball into his hands. The score did not change until the final whistle.
