According to Le Parisien, PSG continues negotiations with forward Lionel Messi on a new contract.
PSG want to extend Messi's contract for two years and the Argentine is ready to sign an agreement. However, a rather unexpected problem arose in the negotiations: money. PSG finished last season with a loss of 350 million euros, and Messi demands to maintain the current salary of 41 million euros a year.
Messi has 11 goals and 12 assists in 16 games this season.
