This coming Thursday, October 27, Dynamo Kyiv will play the match of the 5th round of the Europa League group stage with the local AEK in Cyprus. The day before the match, a pre-match press conference was held by the head coach of the Ukrainian team Mircea Lucescu.
— You have to move a lot, how does this circumstance affect the team?
- It is not simple. We really travel a lot, we don't have the opportunity to train properly, we don't play matches at home, with our spectators. All this is very difficult. But tomorrow we have another match, and I hope that my players will look good.
— What do you expect from tomorrow's match? What components of your own game would you like to improve compared to the match in Poland, and what would you pay attention to in the opponent's actions?
- As for AEK, this is a good team built on foreign players who have a lot of experience, because they played in the best European leagues - in Spain, England, Portugal, etc., as well as on several Cypriot players. I watched the last match, they look good. Also, the team has a very good physical shape and in general they play good football, they have great opportunities for growth.
I expect a difficult match, because the opponent is in good functional condition. In addition, they just have a fantastic stadium, an excellent lawn. They train once or twice a day, they are with their families in a beautiful country. We must show great desire in tomorrow's game, because this victory is very important for us. We have never been in such a difficult situation, but I think we will manage.
