Veaceslav Zakhovailo: "Lucescu is experiencing an idea crisis"

The well-known manager and expert Vyacheslav Zakhovailo, commenting on the results of the match of the 5th round of the Europa League group stage between the Cypriot AEK and Dynamo Kyiv (3:3), told what the problems are in the game of the Ukrainian team.

Vyacheslav Zakhovailo

“Is it worth it to criticize the people of Kiev? Criticism can be different, constructive - from experts, and indiscriminate - from different journalists and bloggers. Players, and especially young people, take it painfully. I will try to constructively describe what I don’t like today in the Dynamo game.

I'll start, perhaps, with the organization of the game. Professional statistics show that the current and last season do not differ significantly in the number of TTAs. But at the same time, the marriage of defense players became critical. Young footballers can't play many games in a row is under pressure. And especially, negative stress affects their psychological stability. And here the management made a mistake by not inviting an experienced player to the central line of defense.

The style of play has completely changed. They began to play slowly on the ball, in the central zone they take everything with their backs to the opponent's goal. There is no geometry for the location of players during the transitional phase of the game from defense to attack. It is said in simple terms... They are not positioned correctly in team actions on the field. When in possession of the ball - too compact. And it gives the impression that they are playing on foot.

The team does not know how to create free space for attacking players by its actions. As an example, I can cite the organization of Shakhtar's attacking actions. Look how they bring out Mudrik! The guy plays at his best. At Dynamo, it's the opposite now: the players are forced to play what they are poorly adapted to. And this is a problem, first of all, coaching. Lucescu is now experiencing an idea crisis. I stopped watching press conferences with his participation. Everyone is to blame for him: either the logistics or the judge, but not him. Nothing personal - the head coach is to blame for today's result.

And I can list and describe many more personal mistakes. But my message is.... There must be a time for change. It's time..." Zakhovaylo wrote on his Facebook page.
