UEFA compensated the Italian Inter 3 million euros for the forced termination of the contract with Christian Eriksen, Italian media reported.
Recall that Eriksen suffered a heart attack during the match between Denmark and Finland at the European Championship. After that, he was implanted with a defibrillator, which, according to Italian rules, did not allow him to continue playing in Serie A. Inter had to terminate the contract with Eriksen so that the Dane could continue his career in another championship.
UEFA has already paid Inter three million euros because of this incident. Recall that now Eriksen plays for Manchester United.
