Zapisotsky's salary in the UAF was named during the trial on embezzlement of money from UEFA: UAH 500,000 per month

Secretary General of the Ukrainian Football Association Yuriy Zapisotsky, who was suspected of stealing 90 million hryvnias on October 18, receives 6 million hryvnias a year.

This became known during the consideration of a petition for a preventive measure during the proceedings in the Goloseevsky District Court of Kyiv, which has been ongoing since October 31.

The Prosecutor General's Office asks to take Yuriy Zapisotsky into custody as the organizer of the theft of more than 3 million euros received from UEFA for the participation of the Ukrainian national team in Euro 2016.

During the meeting, the defense tried to convince the court that the 90 million hryvnia bail requested by the prosecutor was too high, appealing with a certificate of income. It states that the annual income of UAF Secretary General Yuriy Zapisotsky is 6 million, that is, 500 thousand hryvnia per month. Back in 2020, the media reported that Yury Zapisotsky's salary in the UAF was 327,585 hryvnias.

Recall that law enforcement agencies are currently investigating about a dozen criminal proceedings on UAF abuses. In the case in which Yuriy Zapisotsky was handed a suspicion, we are talking about the purchase through the Newport Management Limited agency company of 30 tons of tea, 10 tons of coffee and more than 2 tons of elite seafood and electrical equipment, allegedly for the needs of the Football Federation of Ukraine. The investigation found that the money was transferred to companies with signs of fictitiousness, and goods worth 3.2 million euros never reached Ukraine.
