As part of the 16th round of the Belgian Championship, Brugge lost to Gent 0:2 on the road. Yaremchuk came on as a substitute. However, this did not prevent the fans of the hosts from posting a banner on the stands even before the game, on which it was written: "Death to traitors, Yaremchuk is Judas." Thus, the fans of the "buffaloes" protest against Yaremchuk's transfer to the competitor's camp.
