Yesterday's match of the 14th round of the Spanish Championship between Osasuna and Barcelona (1:2) was marked by a scandal, in the center of which was the defender of the guest team Gerard Pique.
After the end of the first half, which ended 1-0 in favor of Osasuna, and during which Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski was sent off, Pique approached the chief referee of the match to express his dissatisfaction with the quality of the referee. Communication between the referee and the football player did not work out, and, as a result, Piqué switched to insulting remarks.
According to Marca, the player insulted the referee's mother. Namely, he said the following phrase to him: “F***ing shame. I'm b***ing on your fucking mother." As a result, Piqué received a red card (moreover, already in the room under the stands), and his behavior was reflected in the referee's report on the match.
