The famous Ukrainian goalkeeper, and now one of the coaches of the Ukrainian national team, Oleksandr Shovkovsky congratulated Ukrainians on the Day of the Ukrainian Language and Writing.

"Today we celebrate the day of the Ukrainian language and writing. I congratulate all Ukrainians on the holiday!

Our language is extremely beautiful and melodious, and it is not for nothing that it is called "nightingale". It was and is the most important symbol of our struggle for freedom.

By spreading and honoring the Ukrainian language, we defend the interests of our own state.
