"Southampton" announced the appointment of a new coach on its official website. He became the former coach of "Luton" Nathan Jones.
The agreement runs until 2026. The 49-year-old specialist replaced Ralf Gasengüttl, who managed the Saints for the past four seasons. However, in the current EPL draw, the team scored 12 points in 14 rounds, which was the reason for Gasengüttl's dismissal.
Last season, Jones, together with Luton, reached the play-off stage of the Championship, but the team stopped one step away from promotion. The first test for the new coach of Southampton will be a game against Liverpool in the English Championship.
