"Goosebumps. All this time my relatives remained in Kherson. Of course, from the very beginning of the war, I offered them literally every week to leave for any region of Ukraine. When the situation worsened, he offered to leave the city in any way - through the Crimea, Georgia. But the parents decided to stay in Kherson. How could he help them. It's good that it was possible to pay with bank cards, so there were no problems with food and water.
There were periods when the connection disappeared for several days, for a week, I did not know what was happening there. These were difficult periods. Anything could have happened, because there are examples of Mariupol, Bucha, Kharkov - all the settlements where there were rashists and committed atrocities. Of course, I understood that all this could happen in Kherson. But I hoped for the best, I hoped that none of this would happen. When the connection appeared, my parents reassured me, and every time it was like a stone from the soul. Father wrote in every SMS that they believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Always wrote like this! Is always!
Parents basically did not buy Russian SIM cards. They fundamentally did not want to use anything related to the Rashists. The only thing they did was use the neighbor's Internet to keep in touch.
Although our surname has Russian roots, and my father has many relatives in Russia, he fully understands what is happening now, and is against everything that the rashists propagate. My parents don't even want to hear it.
Ukraine lives and wants to develop. Yes, we have problems, and there are many of them, but we can develop and progress on our own. Many of us communicated in Russian, but when it all started, everyone switched to Ukrainian. And my relatives too. Everyone understands that this is necessary.
I read a lot that our partisans conducted their activities in Kherson. When I now see that our people have entered Kherson... I always believed in it! There are 300-350 thousand people in Kherson, of which 200-250 thousand left. But the remaining people are still for Ukraine. And now, when our people entered the city, everyone came out with Ukrainian flags and showed that they want to live in Ukraine.
When there were these pseudo-referendums, no one came out, no one wanted this. The whole world sees it, only there, in this one, I don’t even want to pronounce the name of this country, they think that everything is so cool and good.
