The head coach of Chernomorets Odesa Roman Grigorchuk commented on the second victory of his team in the current championship of Ukraine: yesterday, in the 13th round of the championship, the Sailors beat Lviv at home with a score of 2:0.
“I can say that we won today's victory in our new style, which we are striving for. And this victory cost us very, very dearly. But today, Chornomorets showed a vivid demonstration of both collective actions and the actions of those players who came on as a substitute.
In the first half, the patience of our players came to the fore, because the opponent was defending almost the entire squad. In such a situation, you need to be able to do a lot of things in order to overcome such a dense and "low" defense. And our football players demonstrated this ability.
But there is also the other side of the coin: the people who are involved in such defense spend a lot of energy. And this left its mark on the course of the game in the second half. Yes, and we made adjustments during the break of the match. With the replacements, we generally hit the bull's-eye. All this taken together helped us win the game in the second half. And after the first goal, our advantage was simply colossal.
This is an Odessa victory - these are the words I was in a hurry to say to the players after the end of the match. This is in our style, this is what people need," Grigorchuk said at a press conference after the match against Lviv.
