According to the source, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been at Liverpool for five and a half years, but Alex is unlikely to count on an extension of his contract, which expires at the end of the season. Liverpool are ready to offer Southampton to sign Alex in January and the club from St Mary's would be interested in the return of their pet.
