FIFA: “Agreed with Qatar that alcoholic beer will not be sold on stadium grounds during the 2022 World Cup”

FIFA has published an official statement regarding the sale of beer at the stadiums of the 2022 World Cup.

“After discussions between the authorities of the host country and FIFA, it was decided to focus the sale of alcoholic beverages at the FIFA Fan Fest, other places for fans and licensed places, removing beer points from the stadiums of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

This will not affect the sale of non-alcoholic beer, which will remain available at all World Cup stadiums in Qatar.

Host country authorities and FIFA will continue to ensure that stadiums and surrounding areas guarantee a respectful and enjoyable experience for all fans.
