Dnipro-1 midfielder Oleksandr Pikhalyonok shared his emotions from his team's victory over Shakhtar Donetsk (2:1) in yesterday's match of the 14th round of the Ukrainian Championship.
“The emotions are incredible! We defeated the grandee of Ukrainian football. Today we gave all our strength and, I think, deserved this result.
We knew how Shakhtar would play. The first half, I think, we played very well: from the first minutes we pressed, had many chances and could score more. But they didn't dispose of the ball the way they should have.
In the second half, at the end of the match, they started to sit down physically, the opponent was pressing, but we could run out on the counterattack and score the third goal, ”Pykhalyonok said after the end of the match with Shakhtar.
