Saudi Arabia's sports minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal, said the country would back a private sector bid to buy one or both of English giants Manchester United and Liverpool, reports The Telegraph.
Note that Newcastle is already financed by a Saudi consortium.
Al Faisal also said he was ready to welcome Cristiano Ronaldo to the Saudi league. The 37-year-old striker is looking for a new club after parting ways with Manchester United.
