Well-known football expert Viktor Leonenko spoke about the possible transfer of Viktor Tsygankov from Dynamo to PSV (Eindhoven).

Viktor Leonenko

What can you say about the possible transfer of Tsygankov to PSV?

“I don’t understand why he should go there!?” There is nothing for him to do there. Moreover, they all want to join Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid. Therefore, I draw a simple conclusion - there is nothing for him to do in the Netherlands! Is it possible to trample on the herring that Levchenko brought to the canal for us.

But seriously, I think that there is no point in leaving Dynamo Kyiv if it is not a serious club. You can remember Mikolenko in Everton. Where is Everton and where is Dynamo? Dynamo even plays in the Europa League.

I could understand such a transition in my time, for the sake of earning. Now you don’t have to go anywhere, you can earn money at Dynamo, moreover, without doing anything.

But Tsygankov most likely lost motivation at Dynamo, and he wants a new challenge in his career.

- If motivation has fallen, then he is not a football player. Motivation in general should never fall. For example, if a forward scored 15-20 goals in a season, then next year he should score no less.

Maybe PSV will become a springboard for Tsygankov to move to a more serious club?

— I'm not sure it will be a springboard. This is not Dynamo, where you are supported, laudatory odes are written in the press, but weak rivals in the championship.

Tsygankov will stand out in PSV?

- It won't, because there are a lot of skilled football players. I could still understand the transition to Ajax when they won the Champions League, but PSV... You can just as well go to Saudi Arabia to earn money.

Also, do not forget that Tsygankov is quite traumatic. And abroad, no one will wait for you for a long time. The player himself must decide whether he can and whether he has character.

Which championship should Tsygankov move to?

- Technically, he can play in any championship, but in England it will be more difficult for him. Which coach he gets will play a big role. If he is forced to work back, then Tsygankov will disappear, like any other technical player.

Transfermarkt values Tsygankov at 25 million euros. How much do you think it costs?

- After such European competitions, no one will take him even for ten.

What would you advise Tsygankov if he already has an offer from PSV in his hands?

- If I were in his place, I would immediately conclude that "I am a rather weak footballer" since an offer was received from such a team. So, you need to stay here and be the best in the Ukrainian championship.

I think he should not move to PSV. In Dynamo, he can prove himself in European competitions, plus he is at home. Tsygankov is one of the best in our championship, and there is uncertainty.

Tsygankov's contract with Dynamo ends in the summer. What is your prediction: will he extend the agreement or leave?

- I would extend it if I were him. Moreover, they don’t leave Dynamo like that when European cups, the national team and part of the championship fail.
